Red Is All I See, Who Could Blame Me?

Red Is All I See, Who Could Blame Me? is a one-chapter Ed, Edd n Eddy fanfiction starring Eddy's brother.

It is set in the past and explains the relationship he and Eddy had/have. It was one of the stories submitted for the second fanfiction contest at The3Eds ("Fanfic of the Season"), and therefore was only visible for registered The3Eds users. A rule of the contest was to include the word "red" in the title. It was published on April 26, 2011.

The story hasn't been published anywhere else on the internet and became lost after the closing down of the The3Eds website. Artwork was included in one of the artist's dump submissions at Deviantart.

Plot

Redcomesout4 — "His mother picked up the plastic head and replaced the body Eddy was still holding onto with a rattle, which seemed to soothe him just as well. Terry looked at him with a mixture of anger and sorrow in his eyes. If he was just as satisfied with his own rattle, then why did he had to give up his favourite toy! He couldn't believe this, Rifle Guy was gone. His mother knew how much he meant to him, but Eddy was free to take away all things he loved. As long he had this lazy smile on his face, all was good. But nobody cared about **his** feelings."

The story portrays Eddy's brother's feelings about having Eddy around. As he is no longer only child, he feels abandoned by his parents.

He reminds himself of all the good times he had with them, and eventually comes to the conclusion that the only way to get things back to normal is to kill Eddy.

Characters

Eddy

Eddy is under the age of 1. He is seen as the problem.

Eddy's brother

Eddy's brother, called "Terry" in this story, is the main character. He's circa 8 years old. He is annoyed by Eddy till the point he sees no difference between right and wrong.

Even though he comes across as being spoiled, it's clear he loves his parents and is merely upset because they stopped caring for and about him.

Eddy's parents

Eddy's parents are hanging out with Eddy most throughout the story. They are too occupied to show any interest in Eddy's brother.
At the end they catch Eddy's brother in the act of holding a heavy toolbox above Eddy's head, and they punish him by locking him up in the basement; which becomes his new room.

The story explains how Eddy's brother got his room, as well how Eddy got his.
All illustrations were originally in colour.
This story was supposed to be a small comic. 6 months later it was translated into a fanfiction for the contest.
