EDD IS HERE! is a semi-animated video starring the teenage version of Edd from Ed, Edd n Eddy and a cartoonification of VampireMeerkat parodying Keaton Monger's then viral song remix of the "Dodgson's Here!" Jurassic Park scene.
Though there's a short bit before the song begins, it isn't tied to any particular storyline and the video was solely made to utter criticism towards the Ed, Edd n Eddy fandom.
It starts off with a random introduction of VampireMeerkat urging Edd to do her homework for her on the outdoor terrace of some restaurant, and when he asks her not to mention him by name because of "rabid fangirls" being nearby, she publicly announces his presence in song.
The video was originally uploaded in 2008 on the defunct "AreYouAFool" channel at Youtube, which got deleted during Youtube's early copyright purge. The imagery was redrawn and the video reuploaded on TheBestKindOfFailure on August 27, 2009.
The original video became available through a download link included in the description of the remake, but was never reuploaded again.
Trivia
- The original upload was a viral hit, though the reupload didn't acquire the same amount of views after the forced removal of the AreYouAFool channel;
- Tim Collins voiced Edd in the original video.
- Daniel Tiberius Salgo voiced Edd in the remake.
- VampireMeerkat was purposely drawn in an art style different from Edd's, as to ensure viewers wouldn't think she was a character from the then anticipated Ed, Edd n Eddy Highschool series, or the Ed, Edd n Eddy series itself;
- It failed.
- Most of the attire worn by VampireMeerkat are existing clothes, still in possession;
- These clothes were reused for her Ed, Edd n Eddy version.
- The only other Ed, Edd n Eddy character to make an appearance in the video is Marie Kanker.
